Jordan Spieth ties tournament record to win Masters at 18 under par

Image
AUGUSTA, Ga. — The impulse, at the end of a masterful four days of golf, will be to zoom out and go big picture on 21-year-old Jordan Spieth: Did his decisive, four-stroke victory in the Masters just announce his arrival as Tiger Woods’s heir to the throne of American golf, Rory McIlroy’s career-long archrival and the new face — humble, clean-cut and telegenic — of the sport? Yes, this was a performance for the ages, and those are fair questions — but only Spieth can answer them and only many years from now.Read full article >> from Washington Post: Breaking News, World, US, DC News & Analysis http://feeds.washingtonpost.com/c/34656/f/645348/s/4554bb37/sc/13/l/0L0Swashingtonpost0N0Csports0Cothersports0Cjordan0Espieth0Eties0Etournament0Erecord0Eto0Ewin0Emasters0Eat0E180Eunder0Epar0C20A150C0A40C120C976bccba0Ee1530E11e40E81ea0E0A649268f729e0Istory0Bhtml0Dwprss0Frss0Ihomepage/story01.htm via IFTTT

‘Game of Thrones’ recap: Saying one goodbye in the season 5 premiere

Image
Note: This is a recap, so it very obviously contains “spoilers.”The night may be dark and full of terrors, but at least for the next 10 Sundays they will involve new episodes of “Game of Thrones.” When last season ended we were rocked by the death of Tywin Lannister and confused by whatever was going on in the forest with Bran. Thankfully, we won’t have to worry about the latter at all this season, as that whole ordeal was kept out of the “previously” catch-up. Some quick housekeeping before we get to it: This is a “non-reader” recap; it’ll tell you what happened on the show from the perspective of someone who has not read the books. Alyssa Rosenberg has all the expert analysis you could want from someone who has read the books. This year’s recaps will break each episode down by the five most significant storylines.Read full article >> from Washington Post: Breaking News, World, US, DC News & Analysis http://feeds.washingtonpost.com/c/34656/f/645348/s/4554704c/sc/28/l/0L0...
