Amazon releases its own exclusive album full of indie artists

Amazon today announced it is releasing an album for its Prime Music service called Amazon Acoustics. Rather than recording of the sounds of the South American rainforest however, Amazon has collected 30 acoustic tracks created by both established and up-and-coming artists. It’s a mix of original music, re-recordings and covers. There are new tracks from indie bands like Hey Marseilles and Freedom fry, covers of classics like OutKast’s ‘Hey Ya!’ or Cyndi Laupers ‘True Colors,’ as well as sessions where bands trim down their own music.
