Amazon will launch Prime video streaming in Japan in September

Amazon has announced plans to launch its Prime Instant Video streaming service in Japan next month. The move comes as a challenge to Netflix as that company ramps up plans to enter Japan in September. Amazon Prime members will get unlimited access to videos under the company’s Prime Instant Video service. New and existing Prime members will get unlimited 24/7 access to this content at no additional charge. Prime membership in Japan costs $32.50 a year and offers services such as free scheduled delivery.
